 1/5 - Legislative Update - This week's letter provides background on educational funding for K-12 and the current budget crisis. The Florida Legislature is currently meeting in a special session to try to resolve the shortfall in sales tax revenue and other issues affecting the state budget. We will be closely following their progress and will provide regular updates on pending legislative action. This information will be located on our home page under a new heading entitled Legislative Update. If there is need for immediate action by stakeholders, a "Call to Action"
button will be activated under the update. Please keep informed by frequently checking the school district website and becoming an advocate for all of Florida's schoolchildren.
